MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL PARISH MEETING HELD ON 18th MAY 2026

held at the Jubilee Hall, Bierton at 7.00p.m.

Present – Cllr S Cotton in the chair, Cllr L Fisher, Cllr S Knowles, Cllr M Grieves, Cllr S Kennedy, Cllr C Monticolombi, and the Clerk Mrs W Tomlinson in attendance.

  1. Apologies for Absence – Cllr H Smith, Cllr L Harridge, Cllr S Feeney, Cllr J Ward (BC) and
    Cllr K Gibbon (BC)
  1. Minutes of Annual Parish Meeting 2025 – The minutes of the last Annual Parish Meeting held on
    28th April 2025 were accepted as a true record and duly signed.
  2. Matters Arising
    • Cllr Cotton confirmed that a further meeting has taken place with the Police regarding the
    parking on Burcott Lane and we are no further forward at present. It is still not possible to
    use the car park at the new sports pitch.
    • The Neighbourhood Plan was adopted in July 2025.
    • The traffic calming safety audit has taken place and is currently with the designer.
    • The resurfacing of Aylesbury Road has been completed.
    • The condition of the footways is still the same. It is expected that these will be looked at
    within the Buckinghamshire Council 4 year rolling programme.
  3. Chairperson’s Report – The Chairperson’s report was previously circulated for the year ending
    31st March 2026 and copies were available at the meeting. The report will be displayed on the
    village website and the Parish Council Noticeboards.
  4. Statement of Accounts year ending 31st March 26
    Copies of the statement of accounts had been previously circulated to the councillors and were
    available for councillors and any parishioners to view at the meeting. They were accepted by
    the Parish Council and the statement of accounts was duly signed. The Accounts will be
    externally audited, and results published on the main Noticeboard at the Jubilee Hall.
  5. Public Forum – A parishioner queried if ‘Biertonfest’ is open to all Parishioners of Bierton and
    it was confirmed that it is.
